Judged by brewers and industry experts and organised by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) at their flagship BeerX UK event in Liverpool, the awards run across a huge range of beer style categories in cask, craft keg, bottle and can.

The SIBA Independent Beer Awards at BeerX UK are the trade association’s National finals and in order to earn a place at the competition brewers must first win at their regional competition – making these overall Champions very much the ‘best of the best’ when it comes to British independent craft beer.

We’d already picked up an amazing 4x gold medals in the Wales & the South West regional competition, including best in class for our Welsh Cake Stout & a gold medal for Welsh Lager & Cwrw Gorlas.

Last night at the awards ceremony we received two further medals, both silver, for Welsh Lager & Cwrw Gorlas and we’re over the moon! All of the awards are judged totally blind, so there’s no playing favourites amongst the judges, who represent some of the leading voices in beer.

We’re so, so proud that our esteemed peers recognise the quality of beer. Picking up these awards really help to reaffirm that we’re doing the right thing by putting quality & consistency above all else with every brew.
